It started with a question: What if we could give them a real space?

Not a grand stadium but something built by the community, for the community. A place with a proper pitch, a roof over their heads when it rains, a room with laptops where a teenager can learn, a solar panel that keeps the lights on after dark, and a toilet that works.

It started small. A sketch on paper. A plot of land already owned by the association. A handshake between people who believed that sport can change lives and that every child, no matter where they are born, deserves a fair chance.

The Umoja Youth Center is that chance. And it all started with a football.
